This is an RP journal for Amshel Goldsmith from the Blood+ anime series, for

apurgatorium.

AGE: Ageless. Physically, very early 40s. Almost 200 years old since his human birth.
RACE: Chevalier.
POSITION Head of Cinq Flèches.. until arriving in Purgatorium.

· Personality

In Amshel's mind, there are two layers in which he addresses his every-day activities. Those that directly involve Diva, and those that do not. Everything in the latter is immediately assigned a lower importance. He believes Diva to be his above anyone else, choosing to refer to her as his 'little treasure'. To this day, he still holds a grudge against Saya for releasing her from the Tower, as her continued imprisonment would still mean that she was his, and nobody else's. His actions to this day are fueled by the wants and desires of Diva, unconcerned with the effect that her whim might have on any others; if she requests it, then it will be done.

Diva aside, Amshel is a rather cold, emotionless man. He holds no love for the other Chevaliers, despite his choice to refer to them as 'brothers'. If their actions upset their queen, or if such decisions made by his brothers disgust or upset him, hardly an eyelash would bat while tasking another with their immediate death. He can prove to be a rather ruthless man towards mankind, looking down upon humans as a lower step of the evolutionary chain. While he accepts them as a necessary resource, they are only that; food when necessary, tools on occasion, but never more than something to be used and tossed away when its use has been expended.

He is not above reason or mercy, either. Amshel is a very intelligent person, which has resulted in his serving as the head of Cinq Flèches' corporate ventures. He can be polite and social as he chooses to be, donning the proverbial masks of a party-throwing socialite from time to time in the name of the company and the Goldsmith family, or he can be cold and distant just as easily. The typical face of Amshel, however, is one of detached apathy while he tends to his tasks as the head of Cinq Flèches and as the leader of Diva's Chevaliers. Only when he is around Diva can he truly be happy.

· Sins of the Chevalier

Greed, Lust, Pride, Gluttony, Wrath: All five of these sins all tie into one single person: Diva. Amshel was willing to dedicate every fiber of his being in order to acquire anything, do anything, tend to the slightest whim or desire that his Queen would request. In this, he fell under the sin of Greed by acquiring whatever Diva wanted in order to please her. The sin of Lust reached him due to his unwavering, whole-hearted devotion to his Queen; no one would ever be more important, in his mind, and there was no one else that he would dedicate himself to. Due to his belief that there were none who would outshine her, that anything she might do would immediately put her above all others, he fell under the sin of Pride. Gluttony would include him by his unwavering mindset that would cause him to acquire anything and everything, if it should come to it. Everything would be hers. Finally, to any who might seek to betray or harm his beloved Diva, they would find themselves bearing the full force of his anger. He would kill for her without a second thought. This would quality him for the sin of Wrath.
